League Rules

  1. All teams will be represented by one team captain and one league representative. Captains and league representatives will attend league meetings and league representatives will vote on matters regarding league activities, league rule changes, playing rule changes, and player discipline rulings.
  2. The captain must sign a waiver before the team is eligible to play. Players under 18 years of age need parental consent, players must be at least 16 years of age.
  3. Pregnant players are NOT insured and are NOT allowed to play.
  4. A team may carry a maximum of 25 players on it’s roster.
  5. Ties after 9 innings remain as ties during the regular season and round robin stages of playoffs.
  6. A player may only be listed on one team roster.
  7. If a team will be short players for a game during the regular season, they may NOT use replacement players from other teams in the league. Only players on the team’s roster are eligible to play for that team. Use of players not on your team’s roster can result in a forfeited game and fines.
  8. Players must play 5 full regular season games to be eligible to play in the playoffs. Replacement players may not be used for playoff games. Use of replacement players in the playoffs can result in forfeiture of the game(s). If a player becomes injured during the season the eligibility period may be waived by the league. The rosters will become locked on July 1, 2019
  9. All team members shall have matching jerseys with a minimum 4″ high number. Replacement players do not need matching jerseys. There is a 30 day grace period from the first day of the season
  10. Players who are ejected from a game by the umpire are automatically suspended for 1 game and the team will be fined $100. A second incident will result in suspension of that player for the remainder of the year, with the ability to appeal. Additional fines may be given to the team as well. All player ejections/incidents will be reviewed by the league committee.
  11. All players represent WCCSP and therefore must act responsibly. Playing under the influence of drugs or alcohol will result in a player being ejected from the game. There is zero tolerance for profanity, fighting, abuse of umpires, excessive noise in residential areas or disruptive behaviour.
  12. Fines for 2019 Season – $30 for forfeit 24 hours or more before your scheduled game start time. $60 for forfeit within 24 hours of your scheduled game start time. $20 for failure to report score within 48 hours. $100 for any player ejection from a game.
